Neolithic Mural - Shelter Renovation
Sheringham East Promenade
We’re calling for volunteers!
Join us as we create four stunning murals celebrating Sheringham’s rich history during the Neolithic era, nearly 10,000 years ago! Sheringham Art is inviting community members of all ages and abilities to participate in this exciting project, which will run from early 2025 and aim to be completed by the end of summer.
The project will take place in three phases:
Workshops – Open to all volunteers, these free sessions will teach the basics of drawing and painting. Topics include perspective, painting nature, portraiture, and a deep dive into the tools, technology, and wildlife of ancient Sheringham.
Sketching – Volunteers will sketch out designs directly onto the mural surfaces.
Painting – In the final phase, the murals will be brought to life with vibrant colours.
The murals will be located at the shelters at the far end of the East Promenade and the north-facing steps wall. Mural designs will be led by Colin Seal and developed with the help of our volunteers from the local community.
